Good day everyone this journey took of at the beginning of this semester as i choose social media communication as 1 of my courses. i was a bit apprehensive at first about what this course required but eventually i decided to follow my niche which is sports as my individual assignment. Myself being a avid football fan embarked on a journey to create my blog post  Sportshighlights which showcased football previews, highlight and results. i saw this as an opportunity to highlight a genre that is relevant to modern society as sports is a hot topic across all platform

For this journey the social media platforms that i used  to  showcase this were Facebook, WordPress and Youtube. I created my blogs via WordPress to share this journey of football highlights. i also posted video previews of upcoming matches which i uploaded via Youtube and these posts were shared on Facebook. on WordPress i wrote about each match with a write up on the game as well as created short video previews of each match.

there were a few challenges along the way which i encountered which were as a new user of WordPress i found it difficult to navigate initially but over the course of the semester i managed to overcome this setback. another challenge for me was to edit videos which i was new to took time to understand each tool and the software interface. the software that i used to edit videos was Movavi video editor which after some time of using has n become fairly manageable for my usage.

as the semester draws to a  close this has been one of my toughest semesters to date in terms of the workload of each class. ultimately i would say that this class has given me a better perspective of social media communication and the benefits of its usage effectively.before this class i was a relatively seasoned user on Facebook but now having learnt of WordPress and the use of Youtube as communication platforms i have a better understanding of how to effectively use these platforms to draw traffic to my site.

 

The league leaders are defeated at the bridge as Chelsea hand Manchester city their first loss in the premier league. the defending champions paid the price for a lack of ruthlessness as they fell behind on the brink of half time from a goal from midfielder N’golo Kante. later on in the second half further Chelsea increased their lead with a goal from defender David Luiz to round of a great game for the home team.Liverpool replaced city at the top of the league.

 

 

Hi, there good afternoon and welcome to my preview of the big match up Manchester city vs Chelsea.  this match takes place on Saturday 8th December 2018. as you may know by now I am an avid football fan and my favorite team is the champions of England Manchester city, the citizens one of the most exciting football teams in the world with a wealth of talent . Sergio Aguero one of the best goalscorers , Raheem sterling brilliant right winger and Leroy sane prodigious left winger coupled with midfield maestros Bernardo and David Silva . This being my first collaborative post I have decided to team up with Miss Giselle turner for this project. this collaboration involved us working together to compile stats and key players for both teams. Giselle compiled key players and stats whilst I put them together with infographics for your viewing pleasure. Also using the stats and key players from Giselle i have compiled a video preview so sit back relax and enjoy.

 

 

In an entertaining encounter at Old Trafford  which ended 2-2  Manchester United just survive to hold out for the draw against rivals Arsenal. The visitors opened the scoring through defender Shkodran Mustafi’s header and Manchester United equalised through Anthony Martial before two second half goals in space of minutes courtesy of an own goal from Marcos Rojo only for Man Utd Jesse Lingard to equalise.

Today arsenal travel to Man Utd at Old Trafford after their comprehensive win against Tottenham 4-2 whilst Man Utd drew against Southampton 2-2.

In a battle of semifinalists from a year ago cup holders Real Madrid came out victorious. Real Madrid went to Roma an won 2-0 as both teams advanced to the round of 16.

 

   This was the result man city were seeking but it didn’t come easily as Lyon gave them a scare. a late equalizer header from Sergio Aguero clinched the 1 point needed to progress to the round of 16.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In a top of the table clash AS Roma and Real Madrid face each other to determine the group winners of group G. Both teams come in to the game on the back of astonishing losses in their leagues.

Spanish giants Madrid run of defeat seemed to have diminished after four wins in four matches only to  run into a high flying Eibar team who crushed their morale with a humiliating defeat .

On the other hand their opponents fate hasn’t been different as they lost to Udinese over the weekend.

 

English champions Manchester City take on french outfit  Lyon at the Groupama Stadium  in Lyon on matchday five of the  Champions League, requiring a point away to secure a place in the round of 16. In the opening day encounter on matchday one lyon surprisingly came away witha 2-1 win at the etihads stadium.The two sides last met on Matchday One, with Lyon triumphing 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium. For the visitors on target  was Maxwell Cornet and Nabil Fekir and for city was Bernardo Silva.

High flying Manchester city dominate the Manchester Derby as the blue moon win comfortably 3-1  against their neighbours Manchester United with goals from David Silva,Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundagon . Anthony Martial scored the solitary united goal from the penalty spot
